Ipod KCE-422i Problems with iva-d100

Well i just plugged in my KCE-422i into my Iva-d100 and then plug my ipod in (* New nano *) And Nothing. Then i take my brothers Ipod Touch, Same thing. It see the ipods, It blinks "Searching" . and when you take the ipod out it displays " No ipod." So wtf is up i dont understand the Website told me it would work with the nano and Touch. i looked threw all the settings and i couldnt find anything , maybe i missed something?

Any help would Rock

All the "newer" style of ipod have issues with pre-2008 units. Anything with text display of any kind have been having issues. Apple changed the protocols...

check for up dates in the ipod and also kce 4221 1 wont do video just audio as well

hate to bring up an old thread, but I just picked up an 80gb iPod classic and was hoping to connect it up to my IVA-W200, however, before I spend $30-50 on the kce-422i cable, i'm curious as to if you ever resolved your issue.

Alternatively can anyone else add some input on using a brand new 80gb iPod classic (software version 1.1.2 if it matters) with any of the supposed alpine head units compatible with the full speed connection.
