jbl p1224 @ 1ohm?

i have 2 dual 4 jbl p1224's and a sundown saz2000d amp. the subs are 400rms but i hear they can handle double that easily so i want to send 1000 to each and was wondering if the subs are safe at 1 ohm or do i have to get an amp for each sub running 1000rms @2ohm. the amp can do 2000rms at 1ohm by the way

I have ran 800 RMS to a p1222 in a sealed box - 600 daily in ported... not exactly where you should be drawing the line on them... they have held up a long time in my vehicle

Not sure if they will hold up on 1000RMS each daily. I know they are conservatively rated at 400RMS. Hence why they made the GTI's - power handling and DD
