Jl 1000.1 on the fritz`

my jl 1000/1 is going nuts.
there seems to be something loose?
sometimes when i hit a bump the sub burps.
it turns on and powers up perfectly fine
but when i play loud songs and then turn down the volume the the sub stopps playing the song and starts burping really loud, the only way i can make it stop is to turn my car off and on again or smack my amp( when i do so it makes an even louder burp but then shuts up)
whats even weirder is i got in-my car yesterday started it and then slammed my door. when i slammed my door my sub started to play really loud like 40hz tone and my head unit volume was on 0 and with shitty pioneer double din start up time it hadn't even turned on fully yet.
i heard since i live in Canada jl audio wont take my amp because they don't sell here.

i know i probably dont make sense from explaining it but its really hard to word out what noises my subs are making.
if anyone had a problem like this or can point me in the right direction for help id be super grateful.
thanks again

my questions are.

will JL repair my amp?
can i PERSONALY repair my amp?
What other amp is stable at 3 ohms to power my 13w7
would anyone like to buy a broken 1000/1?

If you bought your amp from a Canadian dealer, JL Audio will repair it in Canada. If you bought it from a US online retailer, JL Audio will not warrranty it under any circumstances. Where did you purchase your amp from?

I highly doubt that you can personally repair your amplifier. Take it to Amp Repair Center for a estimate. Any 2 ohm stable amp will power your subwoofer.

JL sells in Canada.
Where did you get the amp? If it was online, JL will not fix it. Unless you bought from an authorized online dealer.
There are many places that will repair amplifiers, you'll just have to find one.
I wouldn't recommend trying to fix your own amp, unless you know exactly what's wrong with it, and have some experence.

well i bought the amp from pound sound audio at the Dixie flea market. he is not a authorized retailer but he has a ridiculous selection of high end amps and subs for reasonable prices
i've bought every set up i've ever had off him. he buys and sells used high end car audio. so the amp may have been bought legit at one point. do you guys think it would still be covered?
if not where can i take the amp close to Mississauga to have it diagnosed/repaired properly.
is there a way i can check the serial number to see if jl will fix it? (its on a sticker on the bottom)
one of my rca connections on the amp looks a little bent do you think this could be the problem.
