JL 300/4 Questions + install pics

Thanks to the info from CCA, i got my 300/4 installed along with my 500/1.

Few Q's on the 300/4, it seems to be running warm. My 500/1 gets only slightly warmer when in use, where as the 300/4 get really warm after a half hour of heavier usage. Not too hot too touch, but somewhat close. Now there is basically no air flow behind the seat of my ext cab truck, will i need to add a small fan or something to move air?

Also the 500/1 takes 50 amp fuse, and the 300/4 takes a 40 amps fuse, currently i just have a 50 amp fuse (From when i only had the 500/1 in) and a half hour test it did not blow the fuse. With that said, i even have the gain turned up higher than the spec, so im assuming that would mean it should suck more power. This normal?

Im unable to edit, but i just realized that the 300/4 has the gain turned down a hair lower than the correct voltage, and the 500/1 has it up quite a bit higher to get the volume back what it was before i put in the 300/4.

If the amp is not shutting off, then it should be fine. If it worries you, add a fan, but it doesn't sound like you need it.
