Hi, Im thinking of getting a lil sub for my crx.
Should an 8W7 in a JL wedge box suffice ?
How much power does this lil sub take ?
What amp should I get ?

Any info would be appreciated.

and a custom amp rack to go with it, with colour matched red and black amps and red and black wire WOOOOOOOOT! Mad install points!!! Talk about keeping the same theme thruout the whole vehicle.

 

Rob... didn't you try an 8 a few years ago and weren't happy with how it came out? (yes, I know it was a piece of crap from eD.. but you were trying to over power the hell out of it) I'd suggest trying a 10 if I were you

 

Yes, but the JL is so much better.

Just learn a lesson from the past experience and get a 10"...

 

As I recall several pages of pre purchase posturing, several pages of post purchase build (very complicated box), and several disillusioned pages of sub post mortem

the JL is a better made sub (if for no other reason than it is pricier...) and it should be louder and it can consume more power

i think the 8w7 is awsome i would use a 500/1 or 250/1 for an amp with 4 gauge amp kit
