JL audio 10w1 with 300+watts
I'm going to be running my 10w1 with an alpine mrd 605. I've read that the sub can only handle between 175 - 225. This amp apparently puts out 300+ at 4ohms 14.4v. I've been running the sub off a Alpine MRVM345 which now has to handle the duties of a 6.5 woofer(ch3/4) and focal components off(1/2). The sub sounds very happy right now running off (ch3/4)
Could there be a chance the sub could fry if due to high power signal.
All of my settings are below any distortion threshold and gains are set to min.
I don't want to damage this sub due to over powering it. I'd rather sell it an go up to a set of 8"s instead!
