your type r's are dvc right? do you have them wired 4ohm or 1ohm. because i had some problems with overloading at 1ohm and the 1000bd likes 2ohm alot better so i ended up adding a third sub to draw 2.66 ohm. sweet install though.

They are dual 2 ohm so I get a final load of 2ohms to my amp. I was wondering about that amp though, good to know it can't handle 1 ohm.

the 1000bd will handle 1ohm for a couple of minutes daily listening or a couple of seconds burps in spl. good amp though

in a install like that is it bad to have the subs pointing backward becaseu there is a solid wall dividing the front and back of the car? its not like you built a box which is floating in the trunk and pointed the box backward, your box is part of the trunk.

i was thinking of a very similar install in a very simailar trunk and was wondering if it would be louder or less rattles if i pointed the subs up or even forward.

yes no?

I was wondering about that myself. I don't think it make a noticable difference. Pobably on mic but not to my ears. I suppose you could figure out the airspace in the trunk and create ports into the car, making it like a bandpass enclosure. I don't know if that would work?

Well what i am doing in my honda civic sedan this weekend actually is im cuting out the back dash and i am going to cover the huge hole with tight fabric. this way i can make the speaker box with the sub pointing up. the only bad thing about this is you will not be able to see the sub becasue the install will be clean like in the pictures

another good thing about cutting out the back dash... i think most of the vibration noise is coming from there
