just a question

Was wondering if the amount of power that you draw from the battery/altenator affects the horsepower to the vehicle , in a negative way.
When ive got the subs throttled it seems (to me anyways) that my acceleration is somewhat sluggish. Has anyone else noticed this , or is the dodge just getn old???
thx

Yep, power is not free. I doubt you would notice though unless the engine is small and/or getting tired (like you mentioned). At idle it can sometimes be noticeable and with the A/C on it's usually quite noticeable.

The increase in drag on the engine when the alternator is suddenly loaded down with current draw is minor at best....the compressor in the A/C system can easily suck 20% of the available HP from the rear wheels.
