Ya Epic Designs was the old company I co-owned. We did a ton of custom over the 3 years we were open, but it didn't take long for me to realize that I'm a better installer than I am a business owner. The stresses of running the business and maintaining profitable operation takes over your entire existence, and pretty much spoiled the fun of doing what I love in the first place.
I don't want this to be classified as a commercial post, so lets just say I work at an awesome store on West 4th with a large mural painted on the side.
HR100? The amp rack in the PT features 2 x Rockford BD1000's, not by personal favorite, but the customer is always right. Hidden up front is an Audison VRX6Direct. The VRX's high power 'C' channels are driving the front main Q's, and the second 'fronts' (AVI) in the rear hatch (only when you open it). The 'B' channel runs the rear Q's, and the 'A' Channel runs the custom center channel up front (2x AVI FRM70 + VIFA Tweeter), and the center channel in the hatch (again only when it is open).
The BD1000's are BDSync'd, and are mounted into a steel well that we cut and welded into the floor. They have blown up 2 sets of HX2 12's, which are being replaced by the new T2's. Yes this guy loooooves his rockford.
The car just spent 3 months at Kinetic motorsports in port kells, and now features a custom turbo almost as large as a 12" sub. The little PT spun the rollers up to 370HP at only 12lbs boost, no NOS. The turbo is capable of enough boost to send the pistons into orbit, and the installed dual-stage NOS system includes pretty much every part number in the NX catalogue. Not shown in these pics are remote bottle openers, bottle heaters, purge valve, intercooler sprayer, all controlled by a steering-wheel mounted trigger array built by moi. All this crazyness so far has led to a preliminary 12.6 pass, first time on the track, before any serious tuning, with no NOS, and easily 600 pounds of stereo gear. All said and done, full nos, we will likely see almost 600HP.
Right now it's at the bodyshop, almost ready to come back to me for re-assembly. Theyre building a one-off custom widebody kit, and 2-toning the whole package.
Hopefully everything will be ready to show at DTP, but really it's the track season that takes priority, the car audio stuff is just for fun
Thanks for your interest everybody!

Well its not my car so I don't go. He brings the PT to mission, I don't know about any other planned trips.
Really the main purpose is driving the family around. Yes, when it's not in a shop, it's driven daily, even for getting groceries

Kinetic did an amazing job on the motor. Custom intake and exhaust manifolds, custom intercooler, its a stunner. Thanks to an AEM piggiback system, all the right sensors, it runs perfectly.
The system is for enjoyment more than for show. The Ps2 and the carpc are connected optically into the 5.1 processor. Each of the 7 touchscreen monitors can display any of the 3 sources: Carpc, Indash dvd, PS2.
I couldn't think of a better way to get groceries.

Sounds like quite the wild ride. Always cool to see somebody local going nutso on a car. I meant the HR100 amps in the truck. Don't see too many of those amps at all. Odd though that if you've done so much custom work in a fairly long period like 3 years that I've never heard of it. I try to stay in tune with custom installs locally since I very much like custom installs. Have you done any notable competition installs? Does your clientele like to show their cars or just enjoy them privately?
