Hey all, I have a double din Kenwood indash touchscreen dvd/cd player. On my way home yesterday it froze.. so i turned it off. When I turned it back on, all the lights light up (source, function, etc) but the screen is black. I tried to turn the volume up, nothing, touch around on the black screen and nothing happens. Any idea what could cause this?

When I turn the deck on / off the screen lights up a bit (almost like a backlight) but theres no buttons to press or anything.

help?

There will be a small reset button on the face of the H/U (usually in the bottom left corner) I have to reset mine every so often( I get a "protect" error and I run pre out only!! Kenwood doesn't know what to tell me, but I guess thats what I get for having the First DNX 8120 in Canada)
You should for next time be able to use the setup memory in the deck to save your settings just in case you need to reset it again.

right on, I'll check in out in a few minutes! Thanks a lot! Was starting to freak out thinkin I'd need a new deck! lol hopefully the reset button works!

I've got a 5120 and sometimes it will do strange things... I have seen my screen turn black but the colour always came back. I noticed after resetting my unit that it takes a long time to set everything back up, not so much the audio but the brightness/colour/tint on various sources

I just went out to the car 2 minutes ago...turned the key, deck turned on everything works fine... What the lol...I didn't even reset it. Strange cuz I turned the car on then off last night too and it still didn't work. I guess now I know for the next time about the reset button! Thanks all!!
