kicker l7 8's

any one use these, my buddy has alomst no room for subs, 2005 f350 crew cab, but theres a box made for it ,that has .45 cubes for each sub, kicker l7 8's would fit there nice, how would they sound with some nice power behind them? will they play a low as a normal round 10?

That's a nice driver - one of my favourite 8s.

We've had some great results with the Digital Designs DDW6.5LT in small cabinets. They handle a ton of power, and are basically 6.5" subs. U could drop a pair of them into a 0.5 cu ft ported enclosure to give you similar surface area as a single 10".

7.5 sq" of port face 16" long vent in a 0.5 cu ft enclosure nets you pretty impressive results for the size.

He asked about L7 8s or 10s, not 6.5s.

The L7 8 would smoke that 6.5" midbass...
