hey guys can you tell me what the difference with the L5 and the L7 please!

i want a single 12" sub upgrade that can beat my Apine Type R!

 

i think that the L5 is an older version of the L7, but perhaps someone can correct me here.

The L5 is basically a toned down L7. Honesty, just pony up and get the L7, speaking from experience with L5's (not that they are bad, but for a little extra cash I think the L7's are defintely worth it imo). As far as 'beating' your type R, you talking sq, spl, or both. I think the type R's are a nice all around sub. An L7 can take more power than a type R, and in a proper ported enclosure will kick out some loud bass. If your looking for an all around upgrade, money might better be spend elsewhere. Just my 0.02.

 

whats the difference with the sq, spl, and sql? what does it mean?

 

sq=sound quality
spl=loudness
sql=sounding good and getting loud at the same time
