I am planning on buying two 12" Kickers CompVR subs...which amp would give me the full power of the woofers?

That amp would probaby run those two subs quite nicely!

 

the mtx500d sounds like a perfect match.

Also some on the list could be:

JBL 600.1
RF BD500 or BD 501
Kicker KX600.1

Realy anything that will give you ~500w RMS at 2ohms.

Aren't the majority of CompVRs dual 4 ohm woofers ? Therefore, shouldn't he need an amplifier that produces optimum power @ 1 ohm or @ 4 ohms ?

Anyways, I guess he should probably just tell us the voice coil configuration (dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm) ...
