George knows that you are running the output of an amp into the input of another amp and stepping down the voltage thru a converter. George knows that the quality is never going to be as good as a quality HU due to not being able to match up the input and output perfect. George knows that LOC's serve a purpose which is to keep a stock deck in ones car.

 

george david anvone may argue you on that point he has stated on many o forum that the best loc available today will rival some of the best h/u available today

 

George finds that Davids statement may be true if you have test equipment such as he does to set the system up but in the real world most customers and installers won't be able to do it. George has yet to hear one that can rival a good deck.

 

if you're set on using your stock deck just be sure to get amps with speaker level inputs (hi level inputs) .............then the loc is built in [img]smile.gif[/img]

 

i have used the soundgate loc 6 or seven times and have found it to be amazing, now its a very good loc, 200$, not a 19.95$ stinger special. i like to use them as it allows you to still have factory dash cosmetics, having said that i wouldnt ever use the cheap garbage ones out there if i wanted any decent sound, but have had great success with the soundgate piece, which i think is a a2000 piece, that would explain why it wouled so well
