id like to know how you came to this conclusion? I wouldnt pass judgement on an "spl" woofer til ive maxxed out its potential in my "spl build"

there are subs more suited to daily use than tf one, and nobody seriouse into sq would use an spl woofer to achieve tonal balance in the lower octave.

did you max out the potential of this woofer in your build? i doubt it, my subs seen more than 10k watts, jesse's subs see nearly 8k, and Yuli won North American finals in st.B with his. Are they the best sub out there? NO, but they do well for all of us who use them for spl.

 

I will tell anyone that those are crappy cone because they simply are. If I had to guess they probobly also use crappy spiders just because of the choice of cones. I would love to know how many spiders they use, likely its two or 4, if there were more I would be impressed but likely there are 2 or 4 meaning unlike the TFones these will fatigue quickly with SPL and you will start losing SPL rapidly just like people are who use the American Bass VFLs for SPL which likely are using the same spiders which fatigue quickly...same cone as these, took me about three burps to rip a 4" piece off of the surround...

Not saying TFones are the best, not saying there aren't other woofers that are very similar to TFones which are also awesome, not saying anything like that but I can not see any way in which I would consider these superior to a TFone and likely the price is similar.

 

I did think of something actually. THe dustcap on the sundown looks way sweeter due to a nicer sticker than the TFone...Yuli needs to get some better graphic design on his dustcaps

Yes that car has had alot of surround problems with the woofers in there now... I seen it in action on sunday and he had another surround fail. I dont know if its from the low quality parts or the fact they are getting a true 4k each from the 14k and its a box tuned in the mid 40's thats built for and plays music tho lol
