M'kay, I have a Cadence Z7000 powering my S12L7 right now and its pretty decent. Would it be considered an 'upgrade' if I went for a KX1200.1 or a ZR1000? I want to run at 1 ohm and I want the most out of my sub as I intend on competing next year.

Any other suggestions for an amp for around $600-800 cdn used/new? Also, is there a good place to buy online like ikesound.com only for us canadians?

Any help would be mucho appreciado !

edit: darn never mind didnt notice the 1ohm bit.

kar 1000T,

Amazing amp from arc audio.
I have had the 2500 and this! And this seems just as good as the 2500. Nice clean power. And tonns of it!

I am not sure if the T stand for tristate. but if it does even better.

Cool

i have a pair of s12l7s d2, and 2 zr1000s powering them.them subs can get really loud .the zr1000s like a 4ohm load, but will play at 1 ohm without going into protection.you must have the power supply to keep up , or you will let the magic smoke out. greg davis of kcg told me that the zr will put out close to 1800rms@1ohm, while the 1200.1 will do a solid 1400rms@1ohm.i hope this helps

you can get a Earthquake D2 for about $500 that will run all day at 1ohm, and 1/2ohm for comps

I'm not 100% sure if the L7 will be able to handle that much power tho

Perfect Tones has some big amps for sale, I think they have some Visonik V900xd amps that push 1500rms at 1ohm. I think there going for $500

Some one mentioned Arc Audio 1000.2T which they are a dealer for so they could get you a good price

chech them out

Used Mojo's can be found online for $500-600usd.
If the sub is dual 2ohm you could run it 4ohm daily and 1ohm at comps.

Might want to check into Concept as well, I have them for my power and they are sweet, but it all depends where you are and if there is a dealer near ya. There are 2 CCD 2400's on eBay right now, and the guy is askin 425 US ea right now, and seeing as how the Canadaian buck is so strong right now that would fit into your budget, btw they are rated @ 2400 at a 1 ohm load!! hope you find what ur after
