looking for a change in the woofer area
right now i have a phoenix gold rsd 12d in a 1.8 cuft sealed with a PG rsd 600.1
she loves the power and she puts out great no complaints there
and i read this http://phoenixphorum.com/my-new-sub-is-amazing-vt4649.html and started thinking..
just comparing to some of my other systems i had in the past.. at one point i had 2 alpine type r's the older ones i think they were rated at 300 rms....i had them in a slot ported box on a Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5.0:1
the bass was a nice rattle your nuts loud and LOW....but extremly quick at the same time...mostly for punk and stuff the double kicks were perfect...HIT every single one nice deep loud and low....while still pounding the bass line in the background...my rsd is really good too...its everything with a nice punch to it...but you toss in the odd rap cd she doesnt have the rattle my brains out
i had a 1999 orion hcca at one time...and had way more rattle your brains out to it...the good old hard to breath cant see nothing cause your vibrating too much...but didnt have the SQ portion to it
so i guess im looking into some sort of an sql setup? im keeping stock speakers on my deck jvc lhx-550...because they are more then adequate
either way looking for a solution where im just changing sub(s)...while keeping just my rsd 600.1
sell my rsd12d and get a couple of wicked 10's
or sell mine get a wicked 12
this is in a dodge durango...so its all open if that makes a difference..
so looking for realitvly clean loud quick bass
with the ability to get nice and low and do some shakin
thanks for your suggestions on what to look into
i've been recommended to get 2 10's in the rsd competion line
so those are already in the list

You were on a phoenix gold forum, did you really expect them to recommend something that wasn't made by PG??
I'm going to suggest a different route. If you're looking for clean, good power handling, and accurate lows, check out the Creative Sound Solutions SDX15. Xbl^2 motor, 1kw power handling, 30mm linear xmax and ~$260Cdn shipped to your door.
And if you ever get sick of using it in your car, they work great as a DIY home theater sub. Just a suggestion.

no i expected that...thats why im here looking for a variety of choices which i can narrow down to what fits my needs...that is a nice option though cause i am interested in HT when i do buy a house
how is that woofer for quickness? i know some larger subs have a hard time...maybe thats a myth?

I've never used my SDX15 in my car, just in my home theater.
I've got a Klipsch ksw-12 as well, and in my HT setup (6.5cuft net, tuned to 17Hz) the SDX is 10x the sub the ksw is for both music and movies special effects. Great SQ for the price.
