Looking for new battery(s), Help?

I am planning to sell my Red Top and pick up 1 or 2 batteries. I was looking at Yellow Tops, but I know there are way cheaper alternatives out there... Anyone recommend something? Not looking to drop a lot of money...

why dont you keep the red top and your starter battery and add 2 more in the trunk?

Thats what I was thinking... Would I need an isolator? Could I keep the red and run a yellow or two in the back w/o needing an isolator?

You will want identical batteries (same age/type) if you run without an isolator. I ran a lot of Optimas...now I've moved on to Odyssey batteries. IMO better made than the Optimas and very reasonably priced.

The Odysseys have been more expensive than the Optimas from what I've seen

my 2 cents is that the only optima worth getting for car audio is the group 31...either yellow or bluetop its the same battery with different posts.

ive got an odyssey 2150 that does the job quite well.

i also have a couple nsb90s.

id say go with whichever battery out of those three that you can get for cheapest because the SPL gain between them is negligible. Most of the time its the g31 best bang for your buck but i think theres some decent prices on odysseys in ontario.
