looks good for your first install. A few things though...

It doesn't look like those amps are bolted, or screwed down at all, so they might be prone to moving around in hard braking... and the grounds don't look too desirable.

but other than that, looks good for your first attempt... I'm sure things will get easier for you as you get more experience...

regards, Mark

The Concept Amp Is Bolted Down On 3 of 4 corners And The Mtx which I didn't get a shot of at the very end ended up being fastened down with fasteners for the time being because I may need to remove it again. And what looks unsavory about the grounds to you? I filed all the paint off the seat bolt. Other said this was ok practice... Should I find a better ground?

I didn't know that you took all the paint off, I'm sure it will be good enough for your application... I would go directly to the frame, because that would yield a better ground..

regards, Mark

does it matter what type of paint is used? or is it just any paint that will impede the ground signal?

Do you think the seats bolt only to the sheet metal?

And he doesn't have a frame, it's a unibody.

I'm fine with seat bolts other than the fact that they are ussualy exposed and therefor the wiring as well.

</font>[/QUOTE]if you're fine with it, that's great... I guarantee you can find a better ground, but whatever, just an opinion

Ultimately how does one tell what is the best ground? what are some symptoms of unsavory grounds? can you notice it sonically?

...amps can cook, power is lost, seat bolts get loose because your in and out of your seat 2-10 times a day....and in most product manuals it is NOT a recomended ground point!
