Double check the ratings... a lot of times the MA amps are rated at 17v.

yes, double check the ratings. That amp will be rated at 17 volts. I have an MA audio amp and it does ok. no real complants here.

well i checked the MA audio website..as well as some online stores....they just give the power output but no voltage...most of the newer ones that they have..they specify the rating at 17v and 14.4v ..but for this one..there just isn't any....they just give the power output..no voltage rating anywhere in site..any suggestions..?

that 802 is a monster and it will do every bit of what it says at 14 volts, if you have enough power to keep it at 14. i have been looking at that amp myself, but someone i know that sells them told me that he ran one in his compition ride and fried a 260 amp alt completely up from drawing to much power. oh and yes it is more for spl instead of sq, but it is insane power.

if you want to look at another ma amp look at a 4000d, you can get about the same power with less draw.

for the quality of ma audio equipment i have had 4 amps of there amps, 2 10's, 3 12's, and 2 15's not all at once but over the past 3 years and i have been really happy. i did a 143.7 on the usb termpro at comp and that was with the 401sx which is 1200X1 at 1 ohm running 2 ma audio xl 12's in a 7.0 cube ported box in a 1995 chevy extened cab truck with no back seat.

with the 401 i also ran the 2 xc 15's and checked them on my usb termpro meter in the same truck and the got to 147.5.

MA has come a huge way in the past 10 years. the MA brand needs to be taken serious. THump was created to take over MA's low end stuff, so that the Real MA name could be put towards decents, audio equipment. I wouldn't doubt that you start seeing people with this equipment start killing at competitions. For the Price and Quality, they are definetly one of the Best Bang for the bucks on the audio market today!!!
