last i check was when i had a customers amp in
Robert Thibert was the canadian distributor
i phoned them
i was told they did no service it was warranty exchange only
they gave me the name and number of the service guy at ma audio in california
i phoned and left messages over 10 times
never had one call returned
i phoned them ma and asked who could help me and was told he was the only one
so i checked the type of trasistor it was put in the highest current one for that casing type
and made the customer happy
with 0 none zilch help from them
i even posted for help on this forum with no help
i would recommend that kind of customer service to nobody but my worst enemy
i have been in business for 21 years and never seen a company that bad
for service

My experience with MA amps has been good.....I put an HK-204SX in the family mini-van 18 months ago to run a pair of RF 6.5" coax's and 2 10" Visonik subs and it has worked fine ever since. The 2 rear channels are bridged @ 2ohms, and the better half says it still goes too loud....hehe
Even having my wife short the sub speaker leads didn't kill it(long stupid story)...shut the amp off for a while, and it came back to life no probs.

well i do have to agree on the customer support sucking, but it really has got that way with a lot of big companies. i had one problem with an amp about 4 years ago and they offered me a replacement at cost since the amp i had was not made anymore, or i could send my amp in and they would fix it but it was almost the same cost as getting a new one, but i did my own thing and found another ma amp that used the same parts for cheap and fixed my amp.
well ma audio is owned by one big company that also has thump, audiobahn, and i think visonik. i can't remember the name of the company right now but i know they own like 4 or 5 names of equipment.

You're thinking of the Anaba group - Clif Designs, Visonik and MA. And you're also right, Robert Thibert is the sole Canadian distributor for Anaba - XSCargo gets EVERYBODIES seconds/thirds/blems/refurbs...they don't have everything - esp not this serious a product.
I've been using and selling Visonik product for several years now with exceptional luck. anytime there was an issue I had a replacement in the customers hands within 3-4 days - this is Robert Thibert's service, not Anaba's (this is how pretty well all US companies do it in canada).
The only time I called their tech support the guy answered my question promptly (yes, strapped XD's will run 1ohm, just not daily
) Hope this helps!

I've been running an MA204sx for over a year with zero problems. Sound isn't great but good enough for rear fill or bass if you can keep it powered.
Very power hungry.
Liked it so much I bought myself a MA501sy.
Picked mine up from XS and the other from Ebay for practically nothing.
Thumbs up from me.
