You're right my friend, they are AQ units. Tons of mechanical noise with those things actually. Been known for awhile..

Guys... keep it on the subject of the Mach 5's please.

Yuli.. being a vendor doesn't mean you get to come in to other threads to hock your gear.

with my 9512g i did manage to pull a 146 at 34hz legal.

also with only 1500 real world watts i manage to get my car up to a 149.2 and just 300 watts more a 149.6 all with a torn surround( duct tape over it of course)

when i get my 95 reconed i will do a drop in comparison.

you broke a 9512G with 1500 watts? i'd say you are doing something really wrong.

yes i did and i did it on purpose...

the surrond tore and i wanted a lower voice coil imp anyway so i just let her buck on music with the clip light on and BAM there it was ... and playing 35-40 hz in a 60hz tuned box isn't all that good for it either

So how is your recone going? Have you finished it? Reason I ask, is the guy who did the preliminary tests on the subs will be performing another test set this weekend (Mach 5, DD, IA, AQ). It would be most interesting to see how things match up with what you produce.

Thanks man!

I do not wish to put you out or anything. If you feel the tests done by Richard and your test will be the same, then I see little point in a second round. That is of course, that you trust Richard's results. He is quite capable and well known around his parts.

I am not sure if he will send me the results or just post them. Either way, they should be up on the other forums, hopefully by Monday.

To the gent who mentioned he was "scared" to push the SPL-12 because it looked too fragile, I'm truly sorry you feel this way. Let me know, and I will ask Richard to provide *his* opinion on the build quality of each of the units he will be testing. Perhaps hearing it from someone involved heavily in the industry might put your mind at ease.

Best,
Mark
