yea, looks like the top plate came off of the magnet pack...IMO, Pooched....lining that back up will be NEARLY impossible to get perfect....i guess its better than the bottom plate and pole piece commin out tho.
u may be able to fix it, but thats pretty messed up...gl man |
IDK man i tried putting them back together by linning up the tape marks on the magnet with the tape marks on the other thing and still did the same rough moving thing. Do you think that a repair shop would be able to fix it? Know of any close by?

This seems all to common.. RE's quality really went to since they were bought by US Amps..

Probably be cheaper for you to buy another sub.. |
That's a pretty cool way for a subwoofer to go out. Very unusual. Sorry for your bad news.
|
Now my question is did u buy this sub new or used. if Used .. someone made the sub up from diff parts and over torqued the bots. Simile as that.. Or the sub was dropped. best bet is to tapp out the bots from the magnet and recone the sub. one the other hand from that it is toast. sorry bud

^ when did they get bought out because I thought my sub was older then that. |
Everything 2006 and up is the new RE...
If it's a 2005 or older then it's the old RE... Either way, the epoxy on the topplate let go.. which happens sometimes.. |
That's blows dude , way to go out in style tho.
