Well i guess im in the market for a new 15. you guys think i could get anything for that sub on ebay? and any suggestions for a new sub?

That is weird, the magnet should suck itself onto that top plate and hang on for dear life. The epoxy is mostly to keep things from sliding and putting the pole piece out of alignment. Those six bolt looking things are where the basket casting pokes through holes in the top plate and is staked to lock it in. Kinda like a cast-in rivet.

I would say the best idea is the JB Weld. Practice aligning it a few times and when you find a position that doesn't run interference with the voice coil mark it up with a scriber. Then use the JB Weld to make it permanent. This will take some thought to come up with a process that will work. Good luck.

i was also looking on the fi website and im pretty sure they do sell a recone kit for that sub but i still have no idea if that would fix my problem.

That happened all the time with those bassworx 12.4 subs.

Fi parts would work in that sub but you still need to get the top plate glued back on to the magnets.
