Matching Door speakers and amp.

Hey All

so imlooking to add door speakers ontop of my two already installed 12's. ive picked out:

4 clarion 6x8's (300 peak and 60 RMS at 4 ohms)
+
2 alpine 4-channel amps (600 Peak and 50 RMS x 4)

basically what im thinking is using two amps, one amp per two speakers so that my amp is not being over powered. (i see it as if i had all four speakers on one amp, when the bass hits it try's to draw 1200 W from the amp, which it cannot support. where as if i had 2 speakers, it would draw 600, which it would be able to fully support the speaker. i'm guessing RMS would become 100 because only 2 speakers are connected??)

hopefully that made sense, basically what im trying to do is match the speakers and amp so that tthe speakers are able to "hit" to their full potential.

if what im thining is wrong about how this will work PLEASE explain
