ok, using a port calculator, it says im tuned to 46htz, my box is a tiny bit small so i stapled batting all in the inside of it,

should i take it out? it does sound really low and not much air is coming out of the port with much velocity (like i have felt on others), would having a tune of 45 and a box a tiny bit small be ok?

other than that, this gto and 3501 amp pound for a single sub, im impressed with it, although i wish it was a bit tighter and hit with more punch instead of such low and loud notes

looking at my box design, would you guys just reccoment getting a new one made, by a pro or buying one online somewhere? i feel like this sub itsnt hitting very hard, compared to other single subs i have seen, and this is rated for more power....

would i be better off buying a sub box from jbl, or getting one like this,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220527393595&fromMakeT rack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

or any others you guys know of that are good?

you can run the port outside the box as suggested earlier.

I find that recommended box sizes tend to be a bit peaky so that the average consumer will think "that's loud as bro!". Personally I wouldn't automatically assume the manufacturer recommendations are ideal.

I normally line the inside of ported boxes with carpet underlay instead of poly tho i have used poly before with no issues.

Its not like that, i appreciate your discussion. It's design is good but i have doubt in 4 port diagram why it is "L" shape if you remove the banding part then it would be perfect because the sub wave which are inside the box comes out from that space it came out with more power. The "L" shape may block it's few wave. We called it "Bass Tube"....
