Never saw the attraction to the 2002. Fugly. But to each their own - good luck Tom
And I AM actually working on my OWN car. Yep, every 12 years or so I like to build my own stereo It's almost surreal.
Plus the other car I am working on is in the beginning of the final stages. If the guy would bring it out more regularly it would have been done by now

Dadge, yes it's a '69 BMW 2002.
PEI.............. "F" brand !??!?!?!?
Toolman, that car is not the one I'm restoring. It's just for parts and then off to the boneyard. I haven't found one yet, but I'm going to use an S14 motor.
Dukk........... yeah, some of them are actually pretty hard on the eyes. But I've seen a few that caught my attention and this one will be built that way. And the costs for parts isn't too brutal as around 400,000 I believe were imported oer the years into North America.
ZUT, sweet front end !!!! My old man use to have a huge set of cattle horns over the fire place in the family room that would have looked elegant on that front end.
More pictures to come eventually. I don't believe this thing will see itself on the road for 3 years or so. That's what I'm predicting it's going to take............ doing almost all of it myself in the my garage, although I will farm out a bunch of it to professionals in areas where I nee help.......... like the S14 motor which is not an easy piece to get right.

I'm been taking care of the post on my end. You're right though this forum has been lacking lately. It did have a good start from the boys out east, but I think they fell asleep or died or something.
Awsome stuff man!

My dad had a 2002tii, very nice car back in the day. I think the allure of them was the handling, they were very good in that area.
I would post pics of what I have been busy with but 150 pics of deck and two installs is not what people here want to see.

YEah......... lite weight and handle nicely............ and rear wheel drive. Likely would make an interesting "drifting" vehicle if one can get lot's of HP under the hood. Guy's in the UK have turned 2002's into drag cars with small blocks in them putting out I believe it was 600+ HP. Totally ridiculous.

Yeah - I like some of the sedans from that time like the Datsun 510 and the Colt (worked with a girl that had a sweet looking Colt) but the big cab on the 2002 leaves me cold. meh - an opinion.
I'd like an old 240Z one day but first I'd have to go through all of my favorite muscle cars so probably not going to happen

I'll post pics of my new ride once I get the compnay digi camera again The Tona is gone and my toy has arrived
Zut, those are quite the cars. I used to see a Ronch (Ranchero) in traffic that had that front end. It was lowered with a rake to it, nice rims, navy blue paint, healthy exhaust. Pretty cool ride
