well I was going to just stay out of this all together but here goes. Blaupunkt I great gear, Maybe years ago they were lacking in a lot of departments but now the KICK A$$. Look at there overdrive stuff. It is all neo so the 6x9 have a 2 inch mounting depth. They will slay many "HIGH" end co-axials that are in the price class above. and the Overdrive flat subwoofers are awesoem for the price also. Dont knock what you dont know. Just my opinion.

George never said the Blaupunkrap would not work, George said it was not good, meaning good SQ. George also doesn't like Sony to much.

George thinks people who buy Blaupunkt, Pyramid, Audiobahn, and Legacy need some self medication.

You can get good results with any brand mentioned above..remember, its how you install it Georgey Porgey.....

</font>
Boomin thinks that george should try it before he tries to knock it, because Zach is right 90% & 10% And SQ It sounds pretty damn amazing to me in my car so I dunno maybe I got a really good pair?

btw on to the actual thread my question never got answered. If I run two blaupunkt 6x9's in the rear is it best to get the same brand up front for 5 1/4's or w/e?

it doesnt really matter if they're the same brand, just look for a pair of speakers that you like, and think sound good
