The "best possible way" is to experiment in your own car. Every car, every speaker is different, there is no single answer.

But the most common places that work well are:
-Near your main front speakers
-by your outside rear view mirrors (most cars have a little triangular piece there)
-on the front pillars

Usually you face the tweeters toward the middle of the car, but it depends on so many things it's not even funny. Grab some playdoh and temporarily stick the tweeters in places and listen to it, see what you like.

Tweeters are very directional, so not only the location but also the orientation is super critical.

If it was easy, everyone would have great sound. Very few actually do.

x2. I place two sided tape (non marking type) on the tweeters and try them in various places until I'm ready to mount them permanently. Make sure you run extra wire if you try this method; you can trim it later. Happy listening.

I built my tn52 tweeters into the a pillars following the curvature of the windshield and my mids are in custom built kick pods aimed at the interior light, middle of roof and front stage running active.

Top of the doorskin was where I ran a set of Kicker tweets in the old car - sounded perfect.
