IMO these days for a shop to do well you need to go the extra mile.. there are too many places that will give a lower price, so you need to beat that in other ways..
Ways such as having shows to show your support for the industry, good product support and exceptional customer service..

When I used to work for an independent we rarely had any problem offering the identical product for the identical price. Occasionally in the Jan-Mar range there would be target products from box stores that were mental cheap due to end of year buyouts but we simply focused on other products during that time - minor. Oddly - when a major box competitor moved into our area our sales of similar products went up due to advertising and exposure. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

fat i just saying i know it happens as i said its a darksecret that i became aware of it couple
years ago
i always wondered why the fs had such unbelievable specials on certain unit
my reps usually told me that well you see fs adds up it volume rebate because they don't have sales reps and co-op it all ads up
sell didn't look right to me
then you get a guy selling you canadian sold units for less than what you pay and about what the fs sells for an unbeleiveable deals you figure it out
then after talking to several other reps that rep other than audio they confermed what i had suspected
im not going to name names i just saying what happens
and as said in earlier threads this is where i feel that these unauthorized internet companys are getting there product
and a oneye said he feel the same
they sell it out the back door and then deny that it happens
all in the name of numbers
i just don't feel its right nobody has to agree with me im just telling you

Check the brands. I have been checking and there are NO Macrom products on ebay>unless used, both myself and our US distributer check for this.
As for buying power, it comes down to the manufacture, a shop/distributer has to many costs involved in bringing you the customer our products, that it is not possiable to mark it down that much.

fat if i were to name names they would be people that 99% of the people here would not know or ever heard of in the first place
p.s. im not here to prove its happening what im saying is that it is happening and im just letting poeple be aware that it does happen
simply because i don't think its right
