Hey,
with the recovery from the recent stereo theft still under works, i'm thinking about getting an mp3 player. the Rio Car Empeg has been the only one i've trusted for several years (shortly after it came out) and have not yet ound anything that i think rivals it. nonetheless they are very very rae and getting older. i would imagine technoloy is catching up or passing the old empeg.

it looks promising and the PDA control actually appeals to me. then there's also the neo jukebox...

anyone out there using these/have any comments?

I like the iPOD with the dock in the ashtray. Plays well; I had some engine/wiper noise issues so, I disconnected the power from the dock.

Therefore, no charging in the dock but I can charge thru the Cigarette lighter when not being used.

The ipod would be my choice - you can record uncompressed music, and with a 15gig I pod - thats a lot of music!

I have a small KOSS mp3 player that I use through my deck's aux in. Either that or my Sony Mini disc walkman. I'd love to get a Rio or an pod, when $ permits.

Yes, and you can make it WIRELESS and automatic, so it will update your car in the driveway while you sleep.

A friend of mine put an x-box into his car and uses it to play divx movies and mp3s. With a 160 gig hd upgrade on it, you can store mp3's for time...

nice work on that i-pod. but they are pricey no? the Omnifi looks intresting also... anything else out there?

unfortunately i have nor the space nor the need for the X-box...but that's a nice and affordable alternative i would think...
