Looks similar to the Macrom M1S series as well.

I'm pretty sure the 10T tweeters are the exact as the Max Fidelity MFDT3NEO tweeters. They look the same and all the specs are the same. Just half the price. And if that is so that is by far the best sounding tweeter I have ever heard.

Darn you! You have me interested in those again.....:cheeky4: ...lol

Those 6.5" subs would sure lend themselves well to discrete installation too...and they're quite the bargain.....Well I suppose I'll have to go for a listen...Aaaaaah!:lol_hitti

Interesting that a CAR driver would have a truncated frame like a HOME driver... :lame:

I agree with Rob..

The woofer was based on the Extemis woofer. Just a little more beefy. If they work as well as the Extremis woofers, they are a bargin. Although the extremis suck as a midrange woofer, and should be kept as a midbass only. IMHO.

Do they not reproduce upper-midrange frequencies well? Looking at the frequency graph they do trail off quite a bit around 10k....

The FR graph on the Extremis also looks good. But the graph dosent tell the story the same way your ears will. I've listened to them (Extremis) and would suggest not using them in a 2 way system. I've even spoken to the distributor for them here in CANADA, and he agrees with me. It's a great woofer with really low extension but just cant keep up with the midrange duties.

That's not to say that the Mypre woofer wont produce nice midrange, but it's worth looking into anyway.

Well I'm going to compare those Alpine's with some Focals etc for my components but I'm still seriously considering the Mpyre 6.5" subs for my discrete sub needs.

Mpyre Audio - Performance, Quality, Ingenuity *** 65X 6.5" Subwoofer THE WORLD'S BEST PERFORMING ***

^ What's it cost?

For what it is worth.. I have yet to see any 6.5" either provide the output of, or use a substantially smaller enclosure than, a competent 8". I have played with and own some really nice 6.5s and they do a good job for what they are but an 8 outperforms them with ease.
