Is a MTX TE4001 a good match with 2 12" HDC312 AQ's?

Hmmmm. Or should I go with different subs. Any feedback is appreciated.

How on earth do you plan on providing enough current to drive that amp in that tiny little car with a even smaller alternator?

Oh ya... second alternator supplied from Mr. Knight and a local shop will be installing it after Christmas with 2 Batt's in trunk. Maybe should have mentioned that...

you will be fine with that amp and those subs. that amp is not gonna make the 3700 watts that's rated at. after the voltage drop and impedance rise it will be making just enough power to give those subs their RMS. So you are good.

on the side note, why does a 3700 watt amp have a cap input? That's pretty ghay on MTX's end.

Well... Instead of a second alternator, I have found and ordered one that will be a bolt on. Apparently, "there is not even enough room to put a 9 volt battery in that engine compartment".

Also, it is not too late to cancel the order for that amp. Anyone have any other suggestions?

What sort of loot was the amp? DD might be having a deal on amplifiers rather soon.

Basically, I don't want to be disappointed with the money I'm spending... I am hoping for good SPL out of 2 12's in a ported box in a tiny car.
