Hey, I was looking at an MTX Thunder 2150x for sale locally.

http://www.mtxaudio.com/caraudio/arc...under2150x.cfm

Anyone have any experience with them, seems like a decent mid size amp, rated for 300 watts bridged at 12.5, 425 Dynamic at 14.4. Any input? Being sold for $140. Thanks!

Hey Jeep. I've got an 8302 here that I just uninstalled tonight. I put my 6500D in, in its place.

Its esstentially the same amp, except newer. Same features plus the compression circuit to prevent clipping.

$170 shipped and insured if youre interested.

The Infinitys still working well for you I assume?

Thanks for the info, KIlowatt! Mike, yeah I am digging the References for sure. My Dad and a buddy both run the 8302, nice amp, I wondered if it was comparable to the old 2150x. They seem to make decent power, thanks for the offer, I am just looking to get some input right now.

Thanks! Anyone know if they will handle 2 ohm mono, if the gains are low enough?

An amp that is not meant to do 2 ohm mono will gain you nothing except headache. If your woofer load is 2 ohm then it is best to get an amp that will match your woofers

The 2150 is a great piece. Like others said it is pretty underrated and a solid built unit. If you're in the market and it looks to be in decent shape I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up.

If it's in good condition count on it to make gobs of clean power. Easily surpasing it's power specs.

It will run at 2ohm mono but will get pretty hot and I wouldn't do it for a daily basis. It will drastically shorten its lifespan.
