mtx Thunder 6000 not working right?

hey all

I have a pair of svc 4 ohm thunder 6000 12" subs in a standard box and there seems to be an issue. I was using a pair of kicker 350 watt 2 ch amps running them and one of the amps died, I switched over to just one for now and everything was working fine until I got my new amp.

I picked up an older kenwood 1000 watt mono block and am running a 2ohm load into it so I am not getting peak power but it should be enough to run the subs and it works but only at low volumes. If I try and turn things up at all the subs start to get a lot of background noise in them and they will not work at all.

I don't get it they will kick at low volume ok but when I turn it up they kick out and I have no idea why.

Any thoughts?

I would guess that if you bought the amp used, there may be a problem with it (provided everything is connected correctly)

I think I got it worked out. I checked my battery today and the top terminal where I have it connected it only putting out 7 volts to teh power line and the front post is running 13. I am going to switch the posts and try that tommrow.

as for the amp I know it works its my old one that i let my bro use and it was running 2 10" drivers that need more power then I do just fine.
