The one I've heard installed was pushing 2 MTX 12s (not sure of the model number) and they went pretty damn loud...amp never heated up beyond warm, and it's still being used in another vehicle now.

Strong, reliable....and they sell for $200-275 used depending on condition....if my old Linear Power can't be saved, this would be my next choice for a new amp to run a sub box.

HTH

Nice Amp.
Matzilla, What subs are you pushing? How many subs, how many voice coils on each, what is the rating for each voice coil?

I ask because in another thread you are looking at an MA audio amp: Bridgeable to 4 ohms
This amp is mono to 2 ohms.
The final load the amp will see will be a big factor in choosing a proper amp.

So then you'll be looking for a monoblock, not a bridged 2 channel.
So if you get 2 comp VR's you'll get them in a dual 2 ohm configuration.

Nice amp, good power for the size. I heard one running an Infinity Perfect 12", it was sweet. I have heard the Comp VR's in the 10" size, and was very impressed, also.

I ran two of these when they were current and they ran absolutely perfect. No complaints here!

I had the 10" and 12" versions of the CVR's and I liked the sound better from the 10" versions but that 12" got damn loud I ran them in sealed boxes about 1.3 cu foot, killed my buddies 2 12" DB+ subs then again his box was pretty **** the subs weren't independent of each other and the box was abit to big I think.
