My CD wont eject
My CD wont eject
Hey guys ran into a problem
My kenwood excellon deck, that is about 2 years old, the one with the mask wont eject my CD. The motorized flip gets into the position for the CD to eject from the deck but then quickly goes back to the normal CD playing position. The CD plays perfectly in the player.
What can I do now, is this a simple fix. can I do it my self or do I have to take it to kenwood for this to be fixed, how much would somthing like this cost to fix.
thanks
Shawn

No I tried resetting it and still have the same problem. When you press eject the motorized flip goes into a position to aloow the cd to eject out of the deck, right now when i press eject it goes into the ejecting position but then quickly returns to its normal position.
I would take it to a shop if you arent comfortable taking it apart, most likely something has flipped outta its regular motion inside, might be a simple fix.
If its under wattenty thats a bonus for you.

i have an eXcelon X-979... it happened twice in less than a year. fixed under warranty both times. first time was a whole new chassis, and the second time the same thing happened they put in a (something) that i can't recall the name of.. last time it was fixed was around may, crossing my fingers it was the 2nd and last time i have that problem of the CD sticking in. i believe Grizzz also had a similar problem with his X-979 some time ago.
5 weeks both times.. sucks with no tunes for that long, but if its under warranty then u might as well get use out of it..
curious, what model #?
