go to SCN to see the final project i guess.
btw, Brian Reimers was not finishing the whole trunk, the owners were doing the final prep and paint.
the last i saw it was just getting the last layers of glass and dome sanding, it looked pretty cool. should look really nice with the amps, xovers, and sub mounted as well.

That's right. To cut down on labour costs the owner and his buddy (body man) were doing the final finishing and paint.

The car is currently in their hands. It's supposed to be back tomorow. To tell you the truth after seeing the "body mans" own car and hearing about his shop from my salesman I'm a bit worried how it's going to come out. Another thing that bugs me is they were supposed to call me to come and have a look at it before paint, if the car is coming back tomorow painted, I still havn't gotten a call... I guess time will tell

And just for the record, the mold release works wicked! the entire glassed trunk piece pulled out extremely easily.

2: Us for the complete stereo install
3: Body shop where it currently is
4: Owner's Budy's "body" shop
5: Performance shop where it is going in a few days
6: Detailing shop before the show

And like I said, the mold release worked wicked!

I love bondo:

Did a bit more bondo myself, then off to the owner's budy's ""body"" shop it went. We were supposed to get it back today painted ect ect. And well we got it back looking pretty much the same as it did when it left. Turns out his ""body man"" doesn't know how to finish and reinforce fiberglass. So that was Dave's project for today and tomorow.

Hopefully back to the ""body"" shop wednesday. Dave goes on vacation Thursday. I'm supposed to get the car back Monday to do the final install by myself. I then deliver the car to the performance shop, who delivers it to the detailers and then I bring it to the show setup friday. Show is Saturday.

So yah, going to be a hell of a week next week.

Question.

why didnt you use the rubber trunk seal to hold the fabric in place? instead of using all those clamps.
