And the show is this Saturday... there is no way in hell that car is going to be presentable by then, but I'm now beyond caring at this point. It's out of my hands, my shop's name isn't going on the car. I couldn't give 2 ****s what happens to that car from here on in.

That....is....truly.....nasty. And the car owner STILL believes his buddy can fix that????? Oh man, I gotta see that. Be sure to take pics of the car at the show!! So the car owner is pissed at you guys?

fiero-silva you have to get more pics of what the owners "buddy" does to the car. All I can say if a man does that in paint then he isn't your buddy.

wish i could make it to the show, but im going out of town on sat well i guess we will see if i can manage to still make it, sounds like its gona be alot of fun... HA and good luck getting that thing ready buy sat...

I skipped through the posts pretty quickly. Were you paid for the work you've done so far and is there a chance of any problems in the future with this guy coming back and accusing you of causing some of the problems?

We finished the panels to raw fiberglass. So pretty much no finishing. The owner INSISTED his buddy do ALL the finishing to save $$$.

I'd rather not go too far into details of payment, but we were paid for about 2/3rds of the work so far. He still owes us some money. I wouldn't doubt that we are going to have issues collecting the rest of our money.
