I have been obssesed with car audio since I was 12 & I know it takes alot of $ to do things right so I've been working on my system for about 8 years, other stuffs keeps getting in my road.
what I have so far is:

2 Pheonixgold Tantrum 1200.1 mono amps, 1 for each sub.
2 Pheonixgold Tantrum 400.4

The vehicle I hope to install this into is a 98 Dodge Durango,hoping to hit a spl of 140 with out compremissing sound quality.

I would like some feeback on what I plan to buy next wich is:

Subs: 2 12" Hertz HX 300
or
2 12" Cerwin Vega Stroker 122

& also trying to decide on what battery would be best too

a Kinetik powercell

Iam open to looking into other brands as well as iam still in the planning stages. thanx every1 look forward to hearing lots of feedback.

If you're planning 2 12's on 2k+ I will have to kick you in the bag if you can't hit a 140... You mention wanting SPL and SQ here... What drivers do you plan to use to keep pace with the lows? You plan on using a fair amount of power for your mids and highs, so if SQ is a priority, you're going to want drivers that are going to deliver at that level.
