My New System

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum, and I'm fairly new to car audio as well, i really dont know that much. I wanted to share the system I was thinking of buying, and I was wondering if you guys could provide some feedback on it.

-2 Subs: P315D4 (15" Rockford P3's)

-Amp:Rockford 100001BD Mono Amp

-Speakers:T1693C (Back), and T162S 6.5" 2-Way Component System.

-Deck: Sony MEX-BT5000 w/ bluetooth

-Dynamat: I was considering getting trunk, and license plate dynamat but im not sure yet what do you reccomened.

Thanks guys for reading over this and helping me i really appreciate any comments/help. I want the loudest, baddest system I can get that will rock.

sounds like it should rock! I would wait and see if all the sound proofing is needed. I've found with my car, it's pretty quiet and does not rattle too much, so it was not a priority. Some cars resonate a lot more than others at certain frequencies, and may need more sound proofing than others( by the way, it's not a cheap car/expensive car thing, as I've found many BMW's and Benz's rattle a lot, and some fairly inexpensive cars are rattle free). Anyway, sounds like you know what you're doing, so have fun.

Teh gear you've chosen is great. I believe the bass end amp you meant is the T10001BD? I would suggest the T1 subs over the P3's. They cost a bit more but they're worth it. The Power series gear from RF is great from top to bottom.

Question

I don't see an amp for the 4 corners..........with 1KW of bass, you may have trouble hearing anything over 80hz or so off deck power.....

Like Hardwrkr said, if you like the RF subs you could save enough cash to get a good amp for the corners by dropping to 1 T1 or T2 15" . In a good box you'll still get tons of bass and a more balanced sound.....

Ive been doing some research, and posting on some other forums and I have come up with an alternative setup. Here it is, I have several choices, everyone is telling me it is much better then my old setup. What do you guys think comments on every aspect would be appreciated and thanks for the comments and help so far.

Subs: 2 15" FI Q's www.ficaraudio.com

Sub Amp:HIFONICS XX HERCULES

Ported Box: 15" VENTED PAINTED ENCLOSURE

**Im a little below my budget so feel free to recommend alternative products.

Also if you could recommend a speaker amp that would be great, and a few people told me to not get back speakers for some reason. Should I listen to that suggestion?

^^all good equipment, except the FI, which looks good but I can't comment since i have no experience with them. As for the rear speaker issue, it's totally up to you. If you have people in the back regularly, they'll say your system sucks if there are no speakers back there. If you have a small car, you may not need them. If you like rear sound(some call it fill) you need them. If you're not sure, put the fronts in first and listen, tune, listen, tune....and if it still seems like it's missing something, then consider rear speakers as a possibility. Personally, I don't like my system without rear sound, but I also have a large car which I think makes it necessary to have the rears. If you're into custom speaker pods, and ripping your dash apart to get the perfect location, then what I've just said probably won't apply to you.
