Hi
Does the Nak cd-700II play CD-Rs?

If not will burning the CD-Rs at a lower rate(x2 or x4, so that the pits are deeper) work?

Thanks

My Nak CD-400 plays them without any issue, although I know the older models, CD45Z and CD700I etc, have some troubles.

The CD-700II has different internals than the CD-400 and it's predecessor, so it's hard to say. I know the CD-700II has a much more solid mechanisim than the older CD-700.

I found with some picky CD players, the black CDR discs seem to work best. I dont know if this is because they are black, or just better quality media.
