Nav/DVD HU Kenwood Vs Eclipse

Hey Guys,
I've been looking for a Nav/DVD DDIN unit for my 03 F350 for a while and I have been drooling over the DNX8120 and I want to pull the pin. Now with the new units comming out I am wondering if I should wait. I have been looking at the DNX9140 but have just come across the eclipse AVN726E. What do you guys think about the two unit? Have any of you dealers spoke with the reps about these models? There are no Eclipse dealers in Edmonton. Are there any Dealers on here whith some good guy deals?

I've seen the 8140 and played around with it at Kenwoods product showcase in montreal, very similar to the 8120 with a few improvements but motly unchanged. Still solid awesome product. now with better AM reception and faster scrolling through USB sticks.

the Eclipse I have yet to play with so can't comment, but all the units I've installed worked very well, seemed to be of excellent quality.

I am a dealer of both lines, the AVN6620 is on promo right now with a free bluetooth module throw in. Kenwood is sold out of the DNX8120 but I just happen to know where there still is one. I used the Eclipse AVN6610 in my F350 for over a year, just sold it last month actually. It is one stellar unit.

My F350 is a 08. It is custom work for some of the older trucks. I know that Kenwood is now sold out on the 8120 as I tried to order 1. Defro was sitting on some but he informed me by PM this afternoon that he had no more in stock. The Eclipse is $1100 inc. gst and shipping right now and includes a free bluetooth interface. It carries a 3 year warranty and free replacement if stolen.

As far as who it is distributed by, I have dealt with these fine people for 14 years now with barely a bump in the road. I have zero issues with warranty service when needed. To me as a long standing account, they are by far one of the best companies that I could do business with.

MR2NR,
I seen in some other post that you perfur the Eclipse unit of the Kenwood Why is that? How would you rate the the following when you compair the two units:
NAV Usability

User Interface

Sound Quality

IPod Control

The one thing that I do like about the Kenwood is that the install would be very clean behind the dash. The only box I would have to deal with is the Sirius box, the rest is just wires.

Right now the truck system is bone stock. I do have some old Orion Cobalt amps that I would like to throw in the truck, but first I would like to do some sound dampening. The sound dampening may have to wait though.
