Two amps, both the same price, both used and workign great. Which one would you chose to power up 2x10" alpine type R subs and why.

- JL Audio 250/1
- Alpine MRD-M300

i would say the jl not because i use them but because no matter what impedance they run at(1.5-4 ohm) your still gonna get the maximum potential the amp will put out

 

whats the specs on the amps and subs?

 

I had the MRDM300 and loved it. Fully digital with a digital gain set that stopped clipping. If the sub is dual 4 ohm then I would chose the ALpine. If it's single four then go with the JL.

 

Well the subs are 4ohm SVC and require 300Wrms so I know I will be underpowering them in either case. Right now I am leaning more towards the Alpine amp and if anything will just wait for JBL600.1 to pop up someplace and settle for that.
