Need advice for Dual 10" subs!

New guy here.
I have a 2006 Dodge Ram quadcab and i'm wanting to put some subs in it. The box is made by Fox Acoustics, and it is for dual 10" subs. The box is vented with 1.8 cubic feet of airspace combined, and the holes have a 7.5" mounting depth and can fit a 6" magnet. So...

I've already bought the amp... i got a decent deal on a JL 1000/1 mono amp.

I'm wondering what all you guys think i should get for woofers?
I'm thinking about maybe Eclipse aluminum 7000s, Rockford T1s (but i think the magnet is too wide) or JL 10w6V2s. Anything else that'll be good with 500-600 RMS? i'm looking for something with a good mix of SP and SQL.

Can I ask you what do you consider a decent price on that JL 1000/1?

I'd try to hunt down some of the older model ES-10SQ from CDT Audio... ideal sub for that box size and would like the power being sent. Do not get the newer SQ line though, they don't sound right ported period.

Another nice option would be Kicker CompVX 10's.

It will be tough to find many subs that like that small of an enclosure ported... take your time and be sure they'll sound good in that small of a box before purchasing.

Well, the W6V2s are $450 each, so i'm thinking no more than that. $900 plus tax is a little much.

West

The Eclipse subs are a great sub. I have used and recommended them for years now. There are lots of good options to consider, I will come up with some for you to consider.

I paid $200 for my 500/1 so for you to get the 1000/1 for $400 is perfectly in line with what I paid.
