Need Amp Help For 2 12" Type-R's

well if you underpower your subs, whatever the amp you buy can easily overheat and clip due to increased load and not enough power to drive both. That can actually lead to failure of your subs.

I have one ID12v3 right now and kicks me in the *** every time I turn it up. One of those Type R's will give you more than enough bass. But if you build a nice ported box for it as well it will surely be very loud.

Its been awhile since ive posted, but i have experience with the tpe R's.
I am currently running 2 12"s in a ported box, which is the way to go, sealed will not sound that great for those subs, plus a ported box will give you more oomph for the power you put into it..

The type R's will also take more then 500watts RMS, i am running a clean 800 watts to each sub daily w/o any problems. The best way to go is Ported, and of course with the amp to give it 500watts RMS to each sub.

thanks dude u just answered my question,thtas pretty much what i wanted to know,and good to hear from someone that has the exact subs...and ya for sure i will be getting a ported box,as soon as i can get some extra cash, i will get a box custom built.
