Need help with Alpine mrd 1001 amp

hi, i have an alpine mrd 1001 amp and had a question about how i can wire 2 type r's. i got one 10" type x right now but im lookin to trade it for 2 12" type r's. i want to get a 2 ohm load so my amp is pushin the most it can and i was wondering if the subs have to be dual 4ohm or dual 2 ohm?
thanks

I think tha amp gives it's most power at 2ohm mono, you would need dual 2ohm is that's the case....wire them in series than in parallel..
