Just doing some more research on the x693 with ipod integration...came across a video of the kenwood x993 controlling an ipod (search kenwood x993 ipod on youtube). i figure that ipod functionality of the x993 would be similar to the x693. From the video the wait times seem pretty bad...will it be like that for all decks or is this slower than normal? Any advice on a deck with a bit better ipod interface?

So as you can see...it seems deathly slow...but maybe its like that for all ipod controls? It is quite understandable as the head unit has to search through the ipod. Anyone have any experience with the Premiere line regarding ipod control?

I ended up searching and found it after verifying the link with what you had posted, I wonder if the 693 is at all different or if its just missing the bluetooth, I think I need to go play with it again. I wonder if its that the ipod video has a slower hard drive, I didnt notice it being that bad when I first tried it but I didnt use it too much.

yea i dont think its all that different...plus...the 993 is higher than the 693 so if the 993 is that slow....the 693 cant be better can it? thats my logic anyway...heh
