Hello everyone!!!!

I'm a NEWB on this forum, and I have a little car audio knowledge(LITTLE).

My situation is this: I'm looking to upgrade my interior speakers. I'm looking for a 6.5 inch component set. As of now they are stock (6.5) and the vehicle is a 2000 Toyota Celica GT.
I am looking to spend around 2-300ish dollars, and do not really care if the speakers are new or used!!As long as they're a GOOD deal

The real question I have is does anyone know anything about CDT audio??
I have a buddy who can hook me up with a good deal
I was also considering the JL XR series??

Any and all info would be GREATLY apricated!!!!

Oh, I currently have 3 JL 10W3's taking care of the bass, so I'm looking for QUALITY in the component set
If that helps...

Your sig is awesome.

CDT and quality seem to go hand in hand. There should be a few on here happy to share their experience with them. Check the FS ads, there's always something good in there.

What amp do you have running to the W3's?

For the components, I'd also give them good amp power too.

I've just installed my EF-61CF set from CDT. Check my thread in the Install section if you wish. They are very nice indeed. The HD's and Euros are CDT's top lines if you're looking at them.

Although I haven't heard them, I'll bet the JL comps are good.

Good Luck and welcome to CCA.

Any idea how much depth you have to work with in the doors?

Thanks sexylica, I do like the cdt's very much so far. I'm still playing around as it's very new and different from the last install.

I found out the other day that I have 3.75" in the front and 3.5 in the rear...I think

I was listening to a compentent set from Kaption (HD 6.5) and they sounded GREAT IMO, they were going for $280 from a stereo store...

Any opinions on these??? I liked them

According to Crutchfield the Celica gt comes with either 6 or 8 speakers. I chose the 6 spaeker model and it looks like 6.5 comps up front and 6.5's in the rear side.

Where did you get 3.75 + 3.5?

3.75 and 3.5 mounting depth in doors not that small for speakers that wouldnt be cool at all
just go to different stores and listen to stuff only you know what sounds good to your ears. we can tell you all the tech stuff and what we think but when it comes to some stuff just listen to what your ears tell you.
