Need a quick review on these speakers

JCV CS-HX5722
JVC | Canada | Product Detail - CS-HX5722

Looking at buying them tomorrow, so I really need to know how good they are. All I am looking for is something better than the stock speakers in my 97 windstar

I had the 5-1/4" version of the same jvc's. Never liked em. Threw them in the garbage, wouldn't even giv them away.
You'd be way better off with the pioneer 3 way 5x7.

Yeah I probably would. But these are on sale right now at future shop for 9.97$, and I'm not happy with the stock ones in my parents van (stuck with that till snow's gone).
What made you unhappy with these?

i didn't like the tinny tinfoil sound of the tweeter, nor did i like the muddy sound of the mid.
There is a reason they're giving them away. they can't get rid of them

Lightbulb

IMO they sound 'ok'. Pretty average for a basic coaxial.

So yeah, bad sounding. But will they sound better than whats in the van?. Cause I need something, and these are cheap.
I'll probably buy them, then if I don't like them sell them to one of my friends, haha.
Thanks for your replies guys, I will be demoing them tomorrow since they are on display.

well all things considered, I doubt that they'll sound worse than a typical factory base system's speaker, and for 10.00 it's hard to complain.
